Let's Try Surabaya Heritage Track!

Begin on June; in Surabaya there is the bus that could have ride by public for free. Not generally bus, but the bus routes to introduce the historical places in the city of Surabaya.

The bus is called Surabaya Heritage Track (SHT), with only 22 people who will be traveling to some place in Surabaya, for free. This bus is a form of cooperation between the local government of Surabaya with the House of Sampoerna.

The bus has 2 tours, the first is the short tour, which lasted only between 1 to 1,5 hours. The path is begin from the House of Sampoerna, the Heroes Monument, the building of PTPN XI and back to the House of Sampoerna. Second tour is the long tour, begin from the House of Sampoerna, the Tunjungan street, the Central City (Surya Parks), the building of West Java Culture, the building of PTPN XI and return to House of Sampoerna.

Not only that, the Surabaya Heritage Track bus is also equipped with the tour guide in 2 languages, English and Indonesian. News that is quite exciting for people who want to have tour the historic city of Surabaya, for free.

Coming soon : National Examination

National examination in Indonesia will be coming soon. In twenty second of August 2010. It is an important thing for us who is in the 3rd level not only in elementary and junior high school but also senior high school. This examination is one of requirements in passing this level. The Subjects which will be tested are Mathematic, Bahasa, English, and Vocational Subjects.

What about Vocational subjects?

Vocational subjects is a subjects which every school has their own subjects.For example, in senior high school students are divided in science and social group of study. In vocational high school there are a many majors to be chosen by students. Such as graphical building, accounting, dancing, tourism, etc. So, every major has its own exam.

After that, we can continue our study in university. However, there is another way for a vocational high school student. They can decide to continue their formal education or they can go work. That is one of advantages to be a vocational high school student. So, they are not only prepared to work and compete in a global word but also get an sufficient knowledge to go to the college

So, hard work and focus to this examination!

I know that we had a very good time at Perth...
We missed all of everything there...
Looking at Winnie, Intan, Sheny, Natasha, etc...posted that they really miss everything there. Especially their house family and Melville Senior High School. I'm not doubting that because I also miss it(really much).

But it's not over yet...

We still have 1 job to do...

After we have paid to go to Perth and get a wonderful moments and experiences...

We must do our duty to PRESENT our activity back at Perth to our Mayor (that maybe after Ramadhan)

So, I just need that who read this post, pray for our success. And team, please don't forget about it. We must gather again to make it. Not just gather for fun and meet each other

My Heart had been Stolen

Since my arriving in Surabaya from Perth, every night in my sleep, I was always dreaming about Perth. My homestay families, Melville Senior High School, the city of Perth, Fremantle, all of my friends in Perth, and everything about Perth. I don't know why? All I know is I really am missing Perth so badly.
I miss Weet-Bix for my breakfast
I miss walking to Melville SHS with Sheny
I miss studying in MSHS with Natasha and Almer
I miss laughing with my friends in MSHS
I miss Math and Science class which are very SPECIAL to me
I miss Maria's sandwich for lunch
I miss cooking in Brian's kitchen
I miss playing UNO with the Noones
I miss losing in every games I played with Aoise
I miss putting the sticky flour into Aoise's face
I miss joking around with the Noones
I miss Brian's Lasagna for dinner
I miss giving the cat food for Lady
I miss avoiding Finn when he got in into the house (poor Finny Im really sorry)
I miss Conor who couldn't smile in front of the camera
I miss watching Home and Away with the Noones
I miss singing together with the Noones, and their friends
I miss hot water bottle for sleep at night
I miss the sounds of the stepfoots of the Noones who was prepared to go swimming in the morning
I miss traveling with Transperth
I miss performing at the primary schools
I miss hanging out with The Rodgers
I miss Hamish's piano playing
I miss EVERYTHING

memang ternyata 3 minggu itu sangat singkat, tidak terasa kami sudah berada disini, di Surabaya, merancang lapran dan presentasi untuk Walikota Surabaya. Sungguh pengalaman yang sangat luar biasa yang tidak akan dapat semudah itu didapatkan oleh sembarang orang. Saya sangat berterimakasih kepada Walikota Surabaya yang telah merencanakan perjalanan ini untuk kami, yang telah menyatukan dan mempertemukan kami, sungguh luar biasa.

I promise, I'll go back to Perth, visit my homestay family and my friends. I promise I'll go back to Perth again, someday. Because my heart had been stolen by Perth and all its beautiful memories, and I need to take it back so I will go visit Perth again someday, no matter what.

Teman-teman, apa kalian masih mengingat saat kita berlatih bersama? Apa kalian masih mengingat saat-saat terindah kita di Australia? Sampai kapan kalian akan mengingatnya? Kawan, semua yang kita lalui telah menjadi masa lalu namun tak akan pernah terlupa. Telah berlalu namun akan tetap menjadi hal baru di hati kita.

Always Love You

Never wanna forget you. I don't know, why i feel it tonight. I missed my hostparent, my sister and my twin brother in Australia very much. It is my second week in Indonesia,and I always thinking "when i can come back to Australia?". And I know that the answer is only "someday, hopefully". I wanna meet them again. I am very happy because Rodgers family never forget me.

Mum Jill ever rang me when i told her that I missed Rodgers family. And when she rang me, marco was very funny. I told something to Megan and Pia, and I was very happy. They had lots and lots of rice for their dinner that night. I remember when I cooked for them, and they loved it. Thank you. I love you Rodgers family. I hope I can stay at your house again like what did you said to me. Thank you very much.

Misses Everything on Perth

This is my second week on Surabaya. I don't know what happened with me. I felt something strange with my room at my first day in my room on Surabaya. There's no heater like usual in my room on Karen's house. And I miss chips at Perth. I think Surabaya doesn't have chips as big as chips on Australia. And I miss Smiggle, which place that sell cute stationary (not like in Surabaya).

Beside that, I miss all people on Perth. I miss my friends on Melville Senior High School, thanks for your hospitality,Ms. Bina Kadaba, thanks for your kindness,Mr. Phillip White, thanks for let us to studied at Melville and make connection between Surabaya, Indonesia with Melville, Western Australia,and my host family , thanks for everything(and I'll never to forget this one).

Semoga dengan persahabatan dan persaudaraan kita ini akan selalu terjaga sampai kapanpun.

THANK YOU FOR DELAYING US FOR 3 HOURS

After waiting about 1 hour at the waiting room Intan text me a message "she bosen, main yuk", then i replyed "ayo, beli kartu trus main ceblek nyamuk yuk :D". after that short text me and Intan looked each other and smiling like we've found something really briliant.

After we both bought two pack of re-mi cards. we decided to play setan-setanan for the first time and anyone who loose must choose between truth or dare, and oh-my-god i am loosing this first game, then i choose dare. everyone thinking a lot of crazy things that i have to done, at last after having short meeting (lebay dikit) they decided me to get one foreign people signature, that's so embarrassing :l, after i got it they all laugh really loud and made those waiting room noisy.

For the second time the announcer said that the plane delayed (again) for about 1 and a half hour, that's worse for bu Oke because i can see at her face that she was really home sick, but not for us, that announcement made us thinking about what to do next, we really wanted to made our last time together gratify, then this crazy things began we called this game "smash the musquitos" its a kind of traditional game that most of Indonesian people will knowing it. After having our hand smashed by the other we got the looser for this second game, it's Sevian our group leader (LOL) we dared him to follow everything that Mr. Joe (our coordinator from Surabaya government) do at that time, and he really do it very well. Then we all made a lots of laugh until i can felt my stomach sick because to much laughing.

Terimakasih teman-teman seperjuangan dari yang paling muda tapi nggak keliatan muda Almer yang sering melakukan hal-hal gila di luar normal, dan Sasha yang has dengan cara bicaranya yang mantap, dan Winnie teman satu kamar saya selama di rumah Noone, terimakasih untuk semangatnya, sharing, dan ngehibur satu sama lain, dan Sevian yang seharusnya memimpin kita tapi terkadang bisa sangat menjengkelkan(jokes), selalu bermain sportif, yang pertama terlihat sangat innocent yang lama-lama akhirnya berhasil kita kontaminasi( :D ), dan Intan yang walaupun badannya kecil tapi pengetahuannya di bidang tari sangat luas, yang menyelamatkan penampilan cewek-cewek dalam tari Punjari, yang sarat akan ide-ide segar dan terkadang "gila", dan Musa yang pertama terlihat begitu pendiam, dan lagi-lagi akhirnya kita berhasil mengkontaminasi dia untuk berbuat gila seperti kita, dan Roby cowok paling jangkung antara yang lain, yang juga sarat akan ide-ide membangun, dan Jessica wanita yang sangat berbakat dalam bermain flute, yang kaya akan jokes-jokes.

Thanks guys for all those (crazy) things that we had done together. I am going to miss you all :)
